BERKELEY: Today, on behalf of Mayor Carmen Amato, the Berkeley township Council, Berkeley Recreation and all the residents of Berkeley township, remembered the one year anniversary of the tragic death of Lifeguard Keith Pinto. 19 year old Keith Pinto was struck by lightning killing him, and injuring 7 others. The storm came out of nowhere leaving beach goers and lifeguards no time to get to cover. Pinto was known to be a track star at Toms River North High School. The flags flew on the beach at half staff in his remembrance.
