MONROE: A 2018 Hyundai Elantra driven by 30 year old Lashava Goldsmith was travelling west on Malaga Road (County Route 659) near Morgan Road. A 1995 Mack Truck with a trailer was traveling east on the same road. For an unknown reason the Hyundai drifted into the eastbound lane and contacted the Mack Truck in front of 919 East Malaga Road. The truck continued east and entered the westbound lane and made contact with the driver side of a 2017 Nissan Rogue that was also traveling west on Malaga Road. The truck continued onto the property of 945 East Malaga Road and came to final rest when its front struck a tree. The operator of the Hyundai was airlifted to Cooper Trauma with a serious lower body injury.

The driver of the Nissan 27 year old Anastasia Keermann was transported by ambulance to Jefferson Hospital, Washington Township for evaluation.

The operator of the Mack Truck 62 year old Richard Lupton was pronounced deceased at 1350hrs as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash. Multiple witnesses remained on scene and provided statements to police.
