OCEAN: Wednesday evening, members of District 36 RIT (Comprised of Rapid Intervention Team Members from Tinton Falls Fire Company No. 1 and Wayside Fire Company) were dispatched into Ocean Township for a Box Alarm working residential structure fire. Chiefs 1-66, 1-67, 2-67 along with Engine 1-78 and Rescue 2-85 quickly responded to the scene. Once on location, crews conducted proactive RIT standby, splitting up into two crews and throwing multiple ground ladders for members working interior. RIT crews were later released due to the fire being placed under control by initial crews.
