HAMMONTON: On Monday January 9th at approximately 5:06pm, the Hammonton Fire Department was dispatched to Walnut St. for a working structure fire. In addition to Hammonton units (E98, E95, E99, Ladder 9, Tanker 9, Cascade 9, Utility 9), mutual aid assistance and cover assignments were provided by Winslow Twp. Fire Department, Ancora Fire Department, Collings Lakes Fire Department, Egg Harbor City Fire Department (Station 1 Cover), and Elwood Fire Co. (Station 2 Cover). The Red Cross responded to assist the family, as did family and friends. Hammonton F900 (S. Macri) and F901 (J. Day) were in command.

Hammonton fire and police units along with the State Fire Marshalls office remain on scene for investigation. There were no personnel injuries reported.
