BERKELEY: New Jersey Forest Fire service is responding to Miller Airpark after a plane crashed into the woods and sparked a forest fire. The small plane crashed last night, as firefighters were dispatched to a smoke condition. The fire was so deep in the woods it took firefighters a couple hours to reach the origin of the fire. Upon arrival firefighters found the plane and the pilot deceased in the plane. The fire quickly began spreading causing all Toms River fire departments to be dispatched to the scene for structural protection.

WILDFIRE ALERT: Airpark Wildfire – Miller Air Park – Lacey Twp, Ocean County

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is responding to a wildfire burning in the area of the Miller Air Park in Lacey Twp.

ROAD CLOSURES:
⚠️ Dover Rd is closed from Lacey Rd to Pinewald Keswick Rd
⚠️ Mule Rd is closed from Pinewald Keswick Rd
