WASHINGTON TWSHP: A helicopter crash killed a pilot, and a photo journalist last night around 10:00pm. The helicopter was on an assignment in the Galloway area around 8:00 last night. NJ 101.5 reports that around 10:55pm State Park Police were dispatched to a missing helicopter in the area of Wharton State Forest. Video from Action News shows a debris field, and small fire deep in the woods in the area of Mullica River Rd. The rescue was called off until early morning due to the remote area, and limited visibility. The station did not release the identity of the victims but stated they were long time employees of the station. The FAA is investigating the crash.
