TOMS RIVER: Sad news to report local celebrity Sondra Fortunato has passed away after a long battle with eye cancer. Sondra was well known for her charity work. Sondra was constantly raising money for Toms River schools, and fire departments. Sondra was well known for being in the Toms River Halloween parade. Sondra’s battle with cancer caused her to lose her house as medical bills piled up. She didn’t have it easy, and she was still such a sweet person. She was the type of person to give the shirt off her back. She was beautiful soul and she will be missed.
