COLTS NECK: I delayed this post due to the severity. I wasn’t even going to post this. But I really think this needs to be a wake up call. For those of you that ask me why don’t you just stick with news? Well this is why. News is sad. News is depressing. I try and lighten up the moods because all the other news pages are just depressing. Near Naval Weapons Station Earle on the Colts Neck/Howell border  a family is destroyed due to a crash yesterday around 4pm. The person who sent me this told me that she saw toddlers on the side of the road motionless. She also told me that one of them about 4 years old has died. When you drive like an asshole you put children in danger. If you kill a child because of your stupidity you deserve to be put in a room for 5 minutes with that child’s father and grandfather. A family is destroyed due to a crash. Most crashes are preventable. Have some respect for your fellow drivers.

Original call came in as 4 people reportedly trapped in a vehicle. 1 confirmed fatality. 2 medevacs requested. Unknown condition of other victims.

  2. From a witness. Someone driving a white “truck” vehicle wasn’t satisfied that the guy in front of him was doing 55 mph in a 50 mph zone. So he decided to pass. Hit another car head on. A third car was somehow involved.
So he had to be doing 60 or 70 mph to pass.
“It sounded like a bomb went off,” said the witness.
You are allowed to pass on that part of Rte. 34. But it’s a very dumb and dangerous thing to do. I’ve only seen it done once or twice in many years.
The cars involved were destroyed. You couldn’t tell one from another. Car parts and tires were all over the road.
An SUV was off the road in a grassy area. A woman — probably the driver — looked perfectly alright physically although her car was destroyed on the front end. She was frantically pulling stuff out of the backseat. It looked ordinary until I saw her pull out what looked like a child’s car seat. She was screaming “No!” at that point. Over and over. I pulled over but people were already running towards the crash. Minutes later emergency vehicles started arriving.
I’ll never forget her screams of “No, no, no!”
I’m giving you these details so the next time you — a driver — decides to do something stupid/dangerous/unexpected remember the life-changing damage you might be doing — including to yourself and your family.
I don’t know about the fatalities and damage the occured. But I do know all of the above. WISE UP, DRIVERS! Stop acting stupid — please.
