LAKEWOOD: Firefighters are on scene of a structure fire in East Kennedy Apartments. Firefighters reported heavy fire coming from the second floor. Firefighters were able to put water on the fire. Firefighters wanted to ventilate the smoke coming from the basement. Firefighters are evacuating the apartments and upgrading to a second alarm fire. Firefighters are reporting the hydrant is frozen and they can’t access it.

UPDATE: Firefighters reporting vehicles driving over had lines. Police are needed.

UPDATE: Firefighters inside are reporting they’re being shocked from electricity. Firefighters outside are working on cutting the power.

No injuries are reported. However, pets are reported deceased.
