Morganville Fire Department releases the following information regarding yesterday’s fire on Lloyd Road.
Shortly after 12pm yesterday afternoon the department was dispatched for a possible garage fire. After multiple calls to @marlboropolicedept communications the box alarm was transmitted. After reports of explosions and the large column of smoke in the distance @robertsville_vol_fire_company deputy chief 267 transmitted the second alarm assignment. Engine 395 was first due followed by truck 390 and squad 375. Multiple hand lines were stretched to extinguish the fire and protect exposures. In the process of extinguishing the fire it was brought to firefighters attention that multiple chickens and rabbits were in the structure and crews worked to save all the animals. Thank you to all our mutual aid partners for always being there to assist.
