Ocean County Sheriff’s Department issues the following statement:

We continue to send our thoughts and prayers to the family of Tyre Nicols who lost his life during a violent encounter with law enforcement on January 7, 2023. We do not condone the actions of a few. The men and women in our department continue to train each day and make it a point to treat everyone fairly.
