TOMS RIVER: A suicidal person driving on Route 37 east is being followed by Barnegat Police. The suspect stated that if sees police lights he will drive into oncoming traffic. The man took off in Barnegat and headed down the Garden State Parkway. State police are in standby. Currently he is heading southbound on Hooper Ave. from Rt 37.

Update: He is now on Route 9 in Beachwood.

Update: He is now being questioned by police at Walgreens in Bayville.
