Ocean County Judge Retires

Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office issues the the following statement on Judge Ford’s retirement:

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer would like to congratulate former Ocean County Prosecutor, the Honorable Marlene Lynch Ford, A.J.S.C., on her retirement! Judge Ford is retiring after more than 24 years on the bench, including the last seven as the county’s Assignment Judge, the top position in Ocean County Superior Court.
Judge Ford served two terms in the New Jersey General Assembly before being appointed as a Superior Court Judge in 1992. In 2006, she became the Presiding Judge in the Family Division. In 2007, New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine appointed Judge Ford to be the first female Prosecutor in the history of Ocean County! After leaving the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office in 2013, Judge Ford returned to the bench and in 2015 and became the first female Assignment Judge in the history of Ocean County!
Thank you for a lifetime of remarkable service to the citizens of Ocean County! Enjoy your well-deserved retirement! You will be missed!
