SMASH AND GRAB.

POINT PLEASANT: On Friday, February 17, 2023 at approximately 4:45am, the Point Pleasant Police responded to a burglar alarm activation at Lee Richards Jewelers located at 2243 Bridge Avenue.
Responding officers discovered that the front glass door had been shattered and entry had been made to the business. No one was located within the business. It was discovered that a quantity of jewelry was stolen from within.
The scene was processed and area surveillance was obtained. This is an active investigation and it is believed that this burglary was related to several burglaries that recently occurred in other Ocean and Monmouth County jurisdictions.
