The NJSP shared the following information: Happy 100th Birthday to an American Treasure, World War II Veteran, Corporal Roland Scarinci! New Jersey State Police Superintendent Colonel Patrick Callahan, Lt. Colonel Brent Warne and State Troopers attended Roland Scarinci’s 100th Birthday Bash at the Fraternal Order of Police Hall in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Roland was surrounded by loved ones as well as members of the U.S. Marine Corps, American Bombshells Patriotic Services and the Marine Forces Reserve Band from New Orleans. The birthday bash also benefited a charity close to Roland’s heart, Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation.
Roland has been playing the harmonica since he was eight years old and during the pandemic, he used his harmonica, online and in person, to bring joy, encourage and unify people. So Colonel Callahan broke out his harmonica and the two played for the crowd.
Join us in wishing a Happy 100th Birthday to Corporal Roland Scarinci!
