PRESS RELEASE-ADDITIONAL CHARGE FILED IN
CENTRAL REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL INCIDENT

TOMS RIVER: Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on February 21, 2023, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office filed an additional complaint against one of the four juveniles involved in the incident at Central Regional High School in Berkeley Township on February 1, 2023. Based upon our ongoing investigation, the juvenile is now charged with Conspiracy to commit Aggravated Assault in addition to the previously filed complaint alleging Harassment. The juvenile was served a copy of that complaint and was released pending future court appearances.

The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
