SEASIDE PARK: Station 45 and Seaside Heights Fire Department personnel along with Seaside Park Police Department and Seaside Park Public Works assisted with the removal of the stranded humpback whale moments ago on the M Street beach. The number of dead whales have shot rocketed since sonar testing for the windmills.
Marine Mammal Standing Center posted the following. “The Humpback whale spotted floating off Seaside Park yesterday washed ashore this morning. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center is currently on scene working with officials from Seaside Park to secure the whale and bring it up the beach to prepare for the necropsy. Updates will be shared as they become available.”
