Press Release: Stolen Motor Vehicle and Burglary Arrest

HAMILTON: On March 1st, 2023 at approximately 11:38 am, Township of Hamilton Police responded to the Hamilton Mall for the report of an attempted burglary and theft. The accused subject fled the area in a silver Kia prior to police arriving on scene.

A short time later officers were dispatched to the area of Atlantic Avenue and 32nd Street for the report of a silver Kia that crashed into a utility pole. The vehicle was determined to be stolen from Atlantic City and was unoccupied. A Township of Hamilton K-9 conducted a track which led officers to the accused subject Danny Roberts, age 33, of Atlantic City. Mr. Roberts was arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt Theft, Criminal Attempt Burglary and Receiving Stolen Property along with multiple motor vehicle violations, including DWI. He was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained from the crash.
