Man Shot in Standoff on NJ Turnpike Dies

A 29 year old man from Cherry Hill identified as Kyle Foggy died as a result of a gun shot wound he sustained in a stand off with NJ State Police and US Marshals at the Clara Barton rest area on the NJTP.

The incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the Clara Barton Service Area in Oldmans Township in Salem County, based on a brief statement from the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office. The NJ Attorney General’s office said Kyle Foggy was shot “in the presence” of members of the New Jersey State Police and the United States Marshals Service, but it was unclear who shot the man.

No further details were released Friday afternoon night as the shooting remained under investigation by the office.
