FREDERICK, MD—Emergency personnel are on the scene after a tanker truck exploded in Frederick, MD on Saturday afternoon. The explosion occurred at around 12:45 p.m. on March 3 along US 15. Maryland State Police say US 15 closed between Rt 50 and 7th Street in both directions.

Fire has reportedly spread to multiple homes in the area.  There has been no word on any injuries with the exception of the tanker driver who we are sad to report has been confirmed deceased.
