WHITING: At approx 6:08pm, Station 33 was dispatched to a single car accident vs pole with the vehicle reportedly igniting afterwards. Asst Chief 3310 arrived shortly and confirmed an active fire/occupants were already out of the vehicle. Engine 3301 was first due, crews stretched an 1 3/4 attack line to knock down the fire while crews from JBMDL 67 and Engine 3311 assisted with overhaul. Utility 3327 secured the roadway for responder, patient, and public safety. Patient care was handled by Manchester Division of Emergency Services and the scene was turned over to Manchester Police Department for investigation purposes.
