Structure Fire in Long Branch

LONG BRANCH: The following is courtesy of Ling Branch NJ Firefighters: Early Sunday morning the LBFD responded to a fire alarm at an Elberon residence. Upon arrival on scene, firefighters were met with a burning odor and smoke condition. An investigation through the residence revealed an active fire within the rear exterior wall. An upgraded alarm was activated bringing in additional resources. Firefighters were able to make a quick stop to the fire containing it to the section of the wall and preventing further extension. No injuries were reported. Engines 2572, 2574, 2575, 2577, Ladder 2591, Rescue 2585, Fire Police, and Elberon First Aid Squad operated on scene.
