LITTLE EGG HARBOR: The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is battling a wildfire in Stafford Forge Wildlife Management Area which has reached 125 acres in size and is 0% contained. Forest Fire Service crews have begun a backfiring operation to aid in containment.

Route 539 is closed from Forge Road to Warren Grove Spur Road.

16 structures are threatened by the fire. Structure protection is being provided by local volunteer fire companies. We thank them for their assistance.
