ATLANTIC CITY: The Atlantic City Police Department in seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted for shooting another man in Atlantic City.
On March 10, 2023, at 7:27 AM, patrol officers responded to the 3800 block of Ventnor Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert. Officers arrived and located a 29-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Evidence of gunfire was also located at the scene. The victim was transported by ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of injuries that are considered non-life threatening.
An investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit and responding officers has identified Ayman H. Shiham as the suspect in the shooting.
WANTED: Ayman H. Shiham, 21, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a high-capacity magazine.
The public is reminded that charges are mere allegations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
