BARNEGAT: We are still desperately search for Mia Rose’s hero! Please continue to share Mia Rose’s story. We need your help locating her special hero.

Mia Rose is scared and sad. She does not understand why she is not with her family. She was surrendered to us by her owner due to unforeseen circumstances.

Mia is a loving sweet 6 year old cancer survivor who has been diagnosed with diabetes. Mia Rose requires insulin injection every 12 hours. Mia is taking her injections without issue, she actually id doing a amazing with the process. We are continuing to educate ourselves on this disease and the proper care. We are committed to finding Mia the right home. We learned that it’s not considered to be critical if shots are not administered in the exact time frame, every 12 hours. Variations are ok as long as the dog’s sugar does not have a tendency to drop suddenly. So far this is not the case for Mia. Her sugar is consistently close to normal or higher. Mia Rose is experiencing a problem with her eyesight as a result of the diabetes. We must find her a home!! She is so deserving of a home that will love and care for her.

She is a super sweet girl. She loves children and has lived with kiddos in her past home. She is good with other doggie friends but we would like her to be your one and only as she learns to navigate this disease.

Mia desperately needs a hero and we are trying our hardest to help her find one. Her volunteer friends are donating 1000 needles and $600 in gift card off set the insulin costs. She is currently on an insulin that we have learned is $24 a bottle and can be easily purchased without a script at Walmart. We are estimating that donation rd needles should last well over a year and the monetary pledges should cover the cost of 8 months worth of insulin.
