PERTH AMBOY: On 3/15/23 at 2022 hours, the PAFD was dispatched for a reported fire at 156 Lynd Street. Upon arrival heavy fire conditions were found involving 156 & 158 Lynd Street and a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Fire units stretched numerous hoselines to contain and extinguish the fire while protecting exposures and completing primary & secondary searches. All occupants were accounted for and there were no injuries reported. In total 10 occupants were displaced from the two buildings which were both left uninhabitable. A third building sustained exterior damage but was able to be occupied. The fire is under investigation by the PAFD Fire Investigation Unit. City units that responded were E-1, E-2, E-4, T-2, T-3, R-1, C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-5 & C-9. Mutual aid on scene was Hopelawn Rescue 8, Woodbridge Engine 1-2 & Sayreville Engine 3. E-5 & South Amboy Truck 8 covered the City during the incident.
