SAYREVILLE: Earlier Sayreville Police responded to the high school due to an unsubstantiated threat. Out of an abundance of caution the school was placed into a shelter in place. Officers searched the school and surrounding area. The situation was deemed safe. The shelter in place was lifted. Officers are remaining on the scene to ensure an orderly dismissal at the normal time in the normal manner.
