Serious Crash Involving Uhaul And Car

TOMS RIVER: Emergency personnel are on the scene of a serious crash on Route 70 and Massachusetts Avenue. The accident involves an overturned U Haul pick up truck that caught fire, and a car. We can confirm one little girl was seriously injured in the crash. Reports from Ocean County Scanner News, and Exit 82 Scanner News indicate that there’s a fatality, but we cannot confirm. We can also confirm a medevac was called for her and was canceled. The Ocean County Sheriff has advised that this intersection is currently closed and to plan an alternate route. One witness told us that they called 9-1-1 to report the Uhaul truck was driving in an extremely reckless manner, and going over 70 mph before they crashed. We will update as we get additional information.

Update: The little girl is in critical condition in the hospital.
