WEST LONG BRANCH: Monmouth University will have a delayed opening today. Classes will resume at noon today after a shelter in place was in effect last night due to threats of an armed suspect. The suspect was quickly identified and it was determined they were walking with a curling iron that was mistaken for a gun. Below are some photos of the scene last night.
