Recently, NJSP Troop ‘D’ Newark Station was honored with a visit from Josiah Cupe who just turned a big 11 years old. Josiah’s birthday wish was to visit a New Jersey State Police station because he wants to be a law enforcement officer someday.

Josiah got to sit in several troop cars and was put through some physical training. He also attended Interview and Interrogation Training and even learned how to work radar, so you better slow down speeders.

After all that training, NJSP Outreach Unit, Troop ‘D’ Troopers and Detectives presented Josiah with a birthday celebration. We had a party! Thank you for coming to visit Josiah and mom Jamillah. We look forward to seeing Josiah in Blue and Gold!
