BARNEGAT: 🐾 While Dexter is generally a very happy boy, he’s a bit perplexed at still finding himself at the shelter after his owner was surrendered him due to no fault of his own. He is confused as to why he is still waiting for that special day that he gets adopted. He has been studying super hard with his volunteer trainer learning manners and commands but still no one has come to meet him.

Dexter is an active 4 year who LOVES his toys, the squeakier the better😆He is an excellent fetch player, yes, he actually brings the ball back to you. Dexter is dog friendly but he prefers pupper friends who are smaller than himself.

Dexter is searching for an active home and we are recommending children no under than 12 years old simply due to his size and his energy level. Dexter’s trainer friend has offered to continue to train and work with him (complimentary) to ensure Dexter has a smooth transition from shelter life to home life. Stop by the shelter and check out Dexter’s new skills. The shelter is temporarily located at 20 Collinstown Rd. Barnegat, NJ and it open every day 1-4pm.
