Administrative Assistant/Records Secretary to the Chief of Police
The Borough of Rumson is seeking an Administrative Assistant/ Records Secretary to the Chief of Police. This position provides assistance in the Police Department throughout the day-to-day processes. The successful applicant will work directly with the Chief of Police and departmental staff.
- This position may be Full Time or Part Time.
- Benefits included (Full Time Only)
- College degree preferred, but not required.
- Paralegal experience is a plus.
This position requires: - Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work independently and as a team member in a busy office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent letter writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Knowledge of state/ federal records retention laws and archival protocols (Preferred)

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, associate or bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
Experience:
Administrative Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Paralegal (Preferred)
