TOMS RIVER: Earlier today the NJ State Police stopped all traffic on the parkway near the Lakehurst Road overpass due to an emotionally distraught woman threatening to jump from the overpass. Toms River Police and NJ Park Police intervened and was successful in deescalating the situation and was able to calm the victim down at which point she was transported to Community Medical Center for evaluation. A great job to all the heroes who saved this woman’s life today. Our prayers are with her.
