FREEHOLD: The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting their first DWI checkpoint of the year on Saturday, April 1, on Route 9, in Freehold Township, from 10pm Saturday to 2am on Sunday. All northbound vehicles will be diverted into the Juniper Plaza, where local officers will be contacting all drivers to determine their sobriety.

This checkpoint is being conducted a little earlier in the year, compared to previous years, in the hopes it will highlight that driving under the influence happens throughout the year, not just during the summer months.
