Man Arrested for Armed Robbery

ATLANTIC CITY: On April 4, 2023, a man was arrested for robbery after stealing from a store and subsequently stabbing an employee with a knife.
At 8:48 AM, Officers Moustafa Maarouf and James Eckert were dispatched to a convenience store in the 400 block of north Tennessee Avenue for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, the officers were flagged down by several witnesses reporting there was a disturbance inside the store. The officers entered the store and observed a male, Jason Hill, being held down by two store employees. The officers learned that Hill attempted to steal an item when he was confronted by an employee. A physical confrontation ensued at which time Hill stabbed the employee with a knife.
Hill was immediately taken into custody without further incident. The employee was transported by ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, for treatment of his injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
ARRESTED: Jason Hill, 42, of Ventnor City, NJ.
CHARGES: Robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Hill was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The public is reminded that charges are mere allegations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
