MANCHESTER: Route 539 is closed in both directions near Cousins Paintball due to a forest fire. Numerous Fire, and EMS departments, from across the county are on scene. Firefighters will be providing structural protection throughout the night. Plumsted now has evacuations underway Manor Dr. to Horicon, possibly further. Fire has jumped the street about 7,000 feet behind Manor Dr. Fire departments are staging at Stop and Shop in Whiting. Residents along the Jersey Shore are reporting ash falling from the sky. We will update as we get additional information.
