CHERRY HILL: Camden County IAFF 3249 Provided the following information on a serious motor vehicle crash:
On Saturday afternoon, April 15 Cherry Hill Fire Department Basic Life Support Ambulance 1396, as well as BLS Ambulance 1393 and EMS 13 (The on-duty Cherry Hill EMS Tour Commander), responded with Battalion Chief 13 and Rescue Company 13 to a report of a serious motor vehicle crash involving multiple vehicles on Highway 295 in the area of Mile Marker 39. CHFD Fire and EMS units responded as prescribed by the region’s Limited Access Highway Response Plan. BLS Ambulance 1396 was the first ambulance to arrive on the scene. Two people were found to be trapped in the wreck. The trapped occuoants were extricated by Rescue Company 13 and other responding firefighters. Two Med Evac Helicopters were called to the scene, landed on the highway and flew two victims to an area trauma center. One other victim was transported to an area hospital by ground while a fourth person declined treatment or transportation to a hospital.
