Two Cars Windows Smashed to Steal Purses

‼️ALERT – The Stafford Township Police Department Detective Bureau is currently investigating two vehicle burglaries, and seeking information from the public.

On Saturday, April 15th, two motor vehicle burglaries were reported, in which an unknown actor(s) smashed out the passenger side window of the vehicles and removed a purse.

Both incidents occurred between 12:50 – 2:30 PM, in the Ocean Acres section of Manahawkin. One vehicle had been parked on Sloop Road, near Nautilus Park. The second vehicle had been parked in the lot of the Manahawkin Lake Park.

Stafford Township Police would like to remind residents of the following safety measures to reduce your chances of becoming a victim to these crimes:

  • Lock your vehicle and close all windows
  • Remove all valuable belongings from your vehicle
  • For valuables that must remain in the vehicle, hide these items in the glove compartment or trunk
