RUMSON/SEA BRIGHT: The following is information released by the Rumson Police Department:

Last week the Rumson Police Department was made aware of an incident that occurred at the Sea Bright Library. The incident involved a male individual who walked into the library making inquiries about their operations and the presence of children. No threats were made.

Out of an abundance of caution the Rumson Police Department notified the Rumson Library employees about the incident and directed our patrols to conduct additional walk-throughs and building checks in and around the library during the hours of operation.

Contrary to many circular texts and social media communication, there was NO incident that occurred in Rumson involving this individual.
