POINT PLEASANT BEACH: Ocean Fire Company and Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2 were dispatched to a structure fire on 100 block of Arnold Ave shortly before 10pm last night. Engine 4201 and Truck 4305 were quickly on scene and were advised of heavy fire conditions on 3rd floor of the home. Crews made entry into the home, searched for potential victims, located the fire room, and made an interior knock on the fire. Due to the weather conditions and water supply issues, the intetior conditions of the home deteriorated, forcing an evac of all interior crews. A 2nd alarm was requested bringing Point Pleasant Fire Department Station 75 and Brielle Fire Company with manpower to assist. Crews operated on scene for about 4 hours knocking the remaining fire down using masterstreams and multiple handlines. South Wall Fire Rescue and Silverton Volunteer Fire Company provided RIT while all crews operated on scene. Point Pleasant First Aid & Emergency Squad and Point Boro EMS provided ems and rehab for crews operating on scene. The American Red Cross responded to help the residents of the home.
