Car Takes A Dive in the Pool Before it’s Open

Wednesday, at 17:59 hours, we were dispatched on an MVA with the vehicle in a pool with entrapment, on Thomas Rd. Engine 702, Engine 708, Rescue 704, Safety 780, Chief 700, and Chief 750 responded. Before units arrived, quick action from Patrolman Schlusselfeld and Patrolman Bauer extricated the occupant out of the vehicle and handed them off to RWJ EMS. Units operated on the scene for approximately two hours.

Earlier that day, at 13:45 hours, we were dispatched to a smell of gas in a resident with occupants feeling ill. Engine 707 responded. Units found a small gas leak, notified PSE&G, and evacuated the building. The scene was handed over to PSE&G when they arrived. Units operated on the scene for approximately 45 mins.
