Lumberton Man Sentenced for Inappropriate Touching

A 58-year-old Lumberton man has been sentenced to 90 days in the Burlington County Jail for inappropriately touching a young girl.

The sentence was handed down April 28 in Superior Court in Mount Holly to Patrick S. Cavanagh, who pled guilty earlier this year to one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Third Degree). Upon release, he will be on probation for a period of five years.

Cavanagh was acquainted with the victim. Further details, such as the location and the date of the incident, are being withheld in an effort to protect her identity.
