LINDEN: Detectives are investigating a shooting incident that occurred this afternoon.

On Thursday, May 4, 2023 at about 4:00 p.m. Officers responded to the 10 block of N. Wood Ave on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they are located a 26 year old Linden resident who suffered a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was treated on scene and transported to Newark University Hospital by Linden Fire Department personnel.
