NEPTUNE: A young female out with friends is lucky to be alive after a horrific experience. The girl was drugged at Porta in Asbury Park, and found to have Rohypnol in her system. The drug is a benzodiazepines, and not approved by the FDA in the United States.
“Rohypnol produces sedative-hypnotic, anti-anxiety, and muscle relaxant effects. This drug has never been approved for medical use in the United States by the Food and Drug Administration. Outside the United States, Rohypnol® is commonly prescribed to treat insomnia.” According to the DEA website.
According to the victims family the doctors told them this is very common out of clubs, and bars in Asbury Park. As always please remain vigilant.
