POINT PLEASANT BEACH: At around 2:45 Saturday afternoon the lifeless body of Derek Narby was found washing up near Channel Drive in Point Pleasant Beach. Channel Drive is just a few hundred yards from the Manasquan Inlet. Troopers stated “At 3:05 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to Channel Drive in Point Pleasant Beach in response to a report of an unidentified body found washed up.” While officials haven’t released the identity yet, friends of Derek tell me that the body recovered was indeed his.
