JOINT BASE MDL: An active shooter is currently in Building 5231 at Joint Base McGuire, Dix, Lakehurst. This building is the Army Reserve building on the Dix side of the base. All personnel are being asked to lockdown, anyone outside is being asked to take cover. Pemberton Schools are now on lockdown. This is a breaking story. We will update as we get additional information.

Update: All gates are closed entering and exiting the base.

Update: Base is reopening, and has been given the all clear. All personnel are accounted for.

Update: After notifications of an active shooter Joint Base went on lockdown, and advised everyone to take cover. Building 5231, the Army Reserve building was said to have the active shooter. The incident was investigated and there was found to be no active shooter on base. The lockdown has since been lifted, and the base is resuming all normal operation.
